Avinav Mukharji

Avinav Mukharji is a multi-faceted artist. A trained Kathak dancer (under guru Smt. Geetanjali Lal for 14 long years), choreographer and actor. He was former head of Kathak faculty in Apsaras Arts, Singapore. He has also worked as a repertory artist of Kathak Kendra, New Delhi. He has been representing India in various overseas platforms as an arts ambassador. Avinav is a graded doordarshan artist and recipient of various scholarships from C.C.R.T, Sahitya Kala Parishad, Kathak Kendra to name a few. He has been conferred with various awards that includes Natya Mayooram, Nritya Jyoti and Mr. Delhi Times. He is the first and only young "male Kathak dancer" from India to have been called by the TEDx to give motivational talks.
Some of his major performances include ASEAN MEET India 2019, INDIAN - ASEAN Expo Summit Singapore 2018 Festival of India-Denmark 2017, 3rd Summit of South Asian Conference to name a few.
As he believes in giving back to the society, Avinav has been also associated to various NGOs like Samuel Foundation, Tapaswini Navasadhana, Spic Macay etc for many years now, where he constantly visits rural schools and institutions to provide workshops and lecture demonstration to underprivileged kids.
Apart from dancing, Avinav is a theatre actor, film-maker by qualification and has been involved with various plays, TV shows, short films etc.
